The world’s largest car rental company, Enterprise Holdings, Inc., has extended its operations into Regional Australia through a partnership with Adelaide based Cedrent Vehicle Hire. The partnership also involves Redspot, which is the master franchise holder for Australia & New Zealand. This deal will bring Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands to the outback.

Cedrent Vehicle Hire’s majority owners, Munda Wana Wilurarra Pty Ltd, a Ceduna operated subsidiary company of Far West Coast Investments Pty Ltd, helped to finalise the franchise deal with Enterprise Holding late last year.

The franchise acquisition will transform Enterprise Rent a Car SA/NT into one of the few companies to have an Aboriginal majority owned franchise vehicle hire service in Australia.

The business will operate at Adelaide, Darwin, Ceduna, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Alice Springs, Port Lincoln and Whyalla and boasts a large commercial fleet including site specific and mine spec utes, 4WDs, buses and trucks.

Michael Fischer, Enterprise franchising operations manager for Australia said: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of operations in Australia to this region.”

“Australia is a vast and diverse country with unique environments and a unique culture. By connecting with Cedrent, we hope to assist and showcase our continued support for causes that empower & improve the quality of life in local communities including that of Indigenous Australians”
